Édith Piaf
Last week, I went to Shanghai Concert Hall, watched a musical show PIAF-une vie en rose et noir.
The show brought forth the life and artistic career of Édith Piaf who is almost universally regarded as France’s greatest popular singer. She was born in a very poor family in a high-immigration district. She has a distinct personality and voice. Her singing which made her successful in career, also reflected her life. Among her songs are “La vie en rose” (1946), “Hymne à l’amour” (1949), “Milord” (1959), “Non, je ne regrette rien” (1960), “l’Accordéoniste” (1941), “Padam…Padam”, and “La Foule”.

The show was mainly performed by French singer Nathalie Lhermitte. She singed near to 20 of Piaf’s songs. Accompanied by Aurélien Noël on the accordion, Nathalie’s performance was full of emotion, took us into the heart of Piaf. With the anecdotes told by Ribia Matignon, the show also explained how an street acrobat’s daughter, grew up in a brothel, became a famous singer around the world. Just like the name of the show, Piaf’s life was recurring on the stage with full of passion and tragedy.

The songs in the show:
L’Accordéoniste
Les amants d’un jour
Mon légionnaire
Padam, padam
Le prisonnier de la tour
Les trois cloches
La vie en rose
Mon dieu
L’homme à la moto
Milord
La foule
A quoi sert l’amour?
Non, je ne regrette rien
L’Hymne à l’amour
Mon manège à moi
T’es Beau, Tu Sais

@老俞 只是喜欢,奢侈不起来,音乐剧《猫》9月来上海演出,今天问了问,最低票价竟然要680块了,再喜欢也花不起这个钱。
